On 3rd of December, at Gallery San Francesco at Reggio Emilia my first personal show will begin. When Giovanna, the gallery owner and my friend who curates the show have offered this opportunity, I’ve thought immediately of a narrative show, and something to explore inside the gallery, and about the idea of the night. I didn’t take much time to arrive to Ten nights of dreams, written in 1908 by Soseki Natsume published on the journal paper. This short novel with 10 nights of dreams, dreamt by the story teller, so maybe Soseki, tells us with so rich imaginary dream world , symbolic and surreal stories like in the time he lived. There are various and many studies about this novel, because it contains so many possible interpretations, messages, artistic literal expressions. So,it is a huge challenge in fact to illustrate these 10 stories.. but I’m currently working on ! and hopefully to make the beautiful personal show, that the visitors can take a journey in the internal world of the historic Japanese writer.
Il 3 Dicembre, inizierà la mia prima mostra personale presso Galleria D’arte San Francesco a Reggio Emilia. Quando Giovanna, la gallerista e mio amico che cura la mostra, mi hanno proposto questa opportunità,ho pensato immediatamente a una mostra narrativa, e una mostra dove si può esplorare, e l’idea della notte. Non ci ho messo molto tempo per arrivare a Dieci notti di sogni, scritto nel 1908 da Soseki Natsume, pubblicato su un quotidiano. Questo breve romanzo con 10 notti di sogni, sognati dal narratore, quindi probabilmente Soseki, ci racconta i mondi di sogni con immagini molto ricche, le storie simboliche e surreali come il tempo in cui lui ha vissuto. Su questo romanzo, ci sono vari e tanti studi, perché puo’ contenere tante interpretazioni ed espressioni letterali ed artistiche. Quindi, un enorme sfida illustrare quei 10 racconti… ma sto tuttora lavorando, sperando di creare una bella mostra dove i visitatori possono viaggiare il mondo interiore di questo storico scrittore Giapponese.
